2024 Season

Dear Players, Parents and/or Legal guardians,

Please accept this letter as your invitation to become a member of the Texas LoneStar Basketball, LLC, also referred to as “LoneStar”, organization for the 2024 select season. We are a year-round program that focuses on developing aspiring college basketball players. Team practices and skills training will be scheduled throughout the entire year. We also offer and encourage players to participate in extra skills training sessions throughout the year that are offered at a discounted rate for our players. We strive to be the best and we thank you for choosing to be a part of our basketball family!

This commitment will be from the date of submission through 31 July 2024 (or the last day of the last scheduled tournament for the season). Please read the following thoroughly. In accepting this offer, the identified player below will be committed to Texas LoneStar during the time frame noted above and maintain a:

LIMITED Membership (1 practice/skill session per week on Sunday) during "off tournament season" and a STANDARD Membership (2 practices/skill sessions per week, one during the week and one during the weekend) during "tournament season".

7th Grade and above yearly schedule:
Off Tournament Season: August-January

Select Tournament Season: February-July

6th Grade and below yearly schedule:

Select Tournament Season: January-June (selected teams may be given the option to play in July tournaments)

Fall/Winter Program: August-December (3v3 League and Training)

Please be advised that LoneStar reserves the right to modify team placement, practice schedules, tournament schedules, practice facilities, coaching assignments, and team names/identifiers at any time during the year. All changes will be made in the best interest of the organization, the team, and the individual players.

The submitted acknowledgment of this commitment letter binds a player to the Texas LoneStar Basketball organization for the current season. Players may not play for another team unless Texas LoneStar Basketball releases the player, or provides consent, and the player complies with applicable AAU/NCAA rules with respect to changing organizations for the state the player is participating in.

By submitting this commitment letter, I understand that participation with another organization or team outside of LoneStar is strictly prohibited without prior approval from Coach Jimmy Stellato, Girls Division Director. If playing in other non-school sports, participation in Texas LoneStar will be the player’s first priority. I understand and acknowledge that all scheduled team practices and tournaments are mandatory. Notifying the coach of an absence does not constitute an excused absence.

Eligibility Clause: Texas LoneStar is required to register all players in the NCAA database and players will NOT be allowed to participate in any NCAA certified events with another organization for the duration of this contract (players may only be on one NCAA roster). Adidas prohibits the recruiting of players that are SIGNED and COMMITTED to another Adidas 3SSB organization. Adidas sponsored organizations are bound by a contract to uphold this agreement. If a player makes a decision to leave/quit after committing, the player does risk being deemed "ineligible" to participate by the NCAA and/or Adidas for the remainder of the season.

Skill Training Exclusivity Clause: Signed players must receive APPROVAL prior to participating in any skills training that is hosted outside of LoneStar (excludes school sponsored events). Our priority is to remain dedicated to the development of our players and this clause is to ensure that our players to do not engage in training that will be counterproductive to their growth and development. Please send request to train outside of LoneStar to: or contact us at 940-245-1023.

Travel Clause:  Not all teams will travel during the select season, but it is a possibility that your daughter's team will have at least one out of town tournament during the season (applies to Junior High and above). As soon as we know the schedule projections, we make them available so families can plan accordingly. Each family is responsible for booking and paying for their own travel. We do provide travel days (so everyone knows when to fly in and out, provided after the tournament solidifies the schedule) and we will have a team hotel that everyone will stay at. *If your family anticipates an issue with travel, please notify us as soon as possible. We make every effort possible to ensure nobody is left behind and are happy to help coordinate host families and shared expense opportunities.

Failure to abide by these terms can result in game suspension or the termination of this contract. I also understand that LoneStar reserves the right to terminate this contract due to any action that is listed in the Letter of Intent and Exceptions, Player and Parent Exceptions Letter, or for any reason deemed inappropriate by LoneStar.

As the parent and/or legal guardian for the player identified below, I fully understand and agree to abide by the following financial policy:

All monthly fees are due on the first of each month (unless otherwise agreed upon with the LoneStar Staff). There is a 5-day grace period provided (1st -5th) and then a late fee in the amount of $25 will be added to your invoice of payment is not received by midnight on the 5th. Any exception to submit payment outside of the allotted time must be requested and submitted to Annie Stellato prior to the 5th of the month. During tournament season dues will include the base rate of $255, plus the tournament fee (which is based on the team your daughter is assigned to).

If monthly fees and/or additional tournament expenses for the player identified below are not paid upon the expected deadline, the undersigned player will be placed on a probationary period and will not be allowed to continue with Texas LoneStar until such fees and/or expenses are paid in full.

All account balances must be current prior to participating in the first July tournament (no roll over balances allowed). For our younger teams that finish their tournament season in June, all account balances must be current prior to participating in the first June tournament.

I acknowledge that
NO REFUNDS will be given after payment is submitted. If payment for the startup fee was made, that amount will be applied to the termination fee and the player will NOT receive any gear.

I understand that if the player/parent decide to terminate their commitment to LoneStar prior to the date listed above, a termination fee equal to the remaining months fees (coaching, gym, and tournaments that were listed on original team tournament schedule) will be invoiced and due upon departure from the program. I also understand that by submitting payment for monthly dues, services are considered rendered in full for the month. No rollovers, refunds, credits or make up sessions will be provided for any missed or unattended sessions. If your family chooses to terminate their contract for any reason, no refunds will be issued.

Team assignments are made by the Head Coach and the Director of Coaching (Jimmy Stellato) to ensure the best arrangement is made for the organization, team and players. The final decision for placement is made at the discretion of the Director of Coaching.

  4. It is the responsibility of each player to address issues related to playing time or court related issues with her Head Coach. If a parent wishes to address their daughter’s coach related to the same, they may NOT do so 24 hours before or after a game. The Head Coach must be contacted prior to initiating contact with any other LoneStar staff regarding on court issues, unless extenuating circumstances prevent doing so.

LoneStar reserves the right to determine what is or is not appropriate behavior.

  6. Attendance to all scheduled practices and games is MANDATORY for all players. If a player is not able to attend a scheduled event the coach must be notified as soon as possible. If a player has more than 1 unexcused absence, he/she is subject to dismissal from the LoneStar program.

  7. Parents of each respective team are REQUIRED to volunteer, as necessary, for their daughter's team to run the score board and time clock for each game.

All players must raise a minimum of $200, even if they elect not to complete the free throws. The $200 can be raised via fundraising or it can be paid via a buyout option. Anything less than $200 submitted will be added to your next monthly invoice. However, any amount over $200 will be applied to your family's account. Example: Player raised $340, $140 would be applied to your families account starting with the last month of the season moving backwards.
